Bus stoppage: the UTA announced the force measure for Thursday 22 and Friday 23

The Automotive Tramway Union (UTA) announced a 48-hour strike, for this Thursday and Friday, after meetings with representatives of the companies and the Ministry of Labor.

The measure of force will be in force in the interior of the country in response to “the failure of negotiations with businessmen of transport and the Nation”, reported the UTA in a statement.

“Given the refusal to agree on the salary increase for personnel in companies of Short and Medium Distance from the interior of the country, We ratify the announced trade union action measure, consisting of a pro for 48 hours with mobilizations, which will be held on Thursday the 22nd and Friday the 23rd of this year,” they indicated.

In the IT sector, they estimate that the average salary for the first quarter will reach $515,000

The UTA clarified that the regularity of the services will only be guaranteed in those jurisdictions that recognize the salary increase under the same conditions that were achieved for the driving personnel of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, who will have access to a basic salary of $348,800 as of July.

In the statement, the union indicates that it will attend this Thursday at 3:00 p.m. a new hearing at the Ministry of Labor, “in the search for a wage solution that is denied to the represented workers”.

Regarding the repercussions of the measure of force for 48 hours, the statement ends: “We urge those responsible for Transportation, companies, provinces and the national State, which take charge of the damage that the refusal to agree wages in the interior of the country will generate towards the users of our services and social peace”.

This Wednesday representatives of the UTA were stored virtually, at the request of the Ministry of Labor, with the business chambers of the sector to unlock the conflict.

On June 13, the UTA lifted a planned strike for the AMBA, because the companies granted salary increases in that regionbut the measure of force was carried out in various provinces with disparate attacks.
