Economists of opposition candidates promise the field that they will eliminate withholdings

Economists, officials and former officials close to the opposition presidential candidates agreed on the need to unify the exchange rate, remove withholdings and reduce restrictions on exports, during a debate at the 135th edition of La Rural.

The “Certainty about what the candidates will bring after October” panel was made up of Guillermo Bernaudo, Diana Mondino, Sergio Busso, Leonardo Saquis and Juan José Bahilloand each one exposed the measures that their space would adopt to strengthen agro-industrial activity and boost the income of foreign currency.

Drought effect: the State collected 50% less from export withholdings in the first semester

In the first place, Bernaudo, representing Patricia Bullrich, anticipated that a possible government of the former Minister of Security would carry out various measures “from the first day of her presidency” with the aim of “reinserting ourselves in the world”. “We are going to remove all the restrictions, the prohibitions on exports and unify the exchange rates”said the former Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.

For his part, Mondino, pre-candidate for national deputy for La Libertad Avanza, seconded the proposal of the former national official regarding removal. “What we seek as a government to help the countryside is Eliminate the AFIP worker mitigator and we ensure that there will be no subsidies“added the slope of Javier Milei.

The economist also thought that “the check tax is disparate and that’s why it has to be removed.” and the return of the Value Added Tax (VAT) on exports and the unification of VAT rates on livestock for the rural sector.

As for Busso, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of Córdoba, loyal to Juan Schiaretti, he agreed with the previous proposals, pointing out that “Lower restrictions, remove the export ban and free up energy so that the fields work in peace”.

In turn, Saquis, former Buenos Aires Agroindustry Minister and collaborator of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, affirmed that they will work side by side with Bernaudo from the open, simultaneous and mandatory primaries (PASO), regardless of which candidate of Together for Change ends up taking precedence.

“Argentina lives on patches and restrictionsThat is why it fully accompanies everything that was said on the panel. We must eliminate regional import duties, modify the seed law, and insert ourselves into the bioeconomy, innovation, and renewable energy,” he stated.

Finally, the current Secretary of Agriculture of the Nation, Bahillohighlight the importance of promoting a pay-for-quality initiative and a irrigation plan law. “We must add climate insurance because the drought showed the worst face of the crisis and also make a modification of the seed law“, closed.
