Election in Capital: Together for Change would resolve the candidacies in an internal

The suns of January are bringing unforeseen events or that until very recently were hardly taken into account or were classified as “B notes” in the traditional media. Once the mystery of the candidate in Peronism has been developed, Juntos por el Cambio continues to play hide and seek, although it can be said that this elusive step by Luis Juez and Rodrigo de Loredo follows a choreography.

Behind, or in the background, there remains an issue that is less talked about but that makes the entire opposition coalition’s hair stand on end, especially radicalism and the PRO: the election of the mayor of the Capital, where there is an interesting list of candidates for the title, although none, for now, would meet the conditions that would allow them to be indisputable.

Thus, you can list Diego Mestre and Juan Negri from radicalism and Soher El Sukaría, Javier Pretto and Sebastián García Díaz from PRO. To these names it will be necessary to add some referent of the ARI-Civic Coalition, which will surely try to place some name of its own in the dispute, even if it is to negotiate power quotas at the time of the definitions. And also to the judges, although it would not move anyone if they supported some radical.

When reviewing the names of those noted, an unquestionable source from Together for Change recalled a piece of information: “Do not make Gustavo Santos poor, although today he is removed from the center of the scene, he can launch at any time, regardless of what he has said that he does not resign his candidacy for governor and that he will fight the judge “.

In a first sieve, half a dozen pre-candidates in the race are glimpsed and many others could be added, but obviously the entire definition is subject to what is resolved at the top with the candidacies for governor and vice.

The fact to highlight is that spokespersons for the groups that make up Together for Change recognize that an inmate should not be ruled out to resolve the applications for mayor and vice president of the city of Córdoba.

The commissioner’s horse. Radicals, judges and leaders of the PRO considering that the formula of Hacemos por Córdoba in the city of Córdoba will be headed by the current vice mayor, Daniel Passerini. And they judge that the others registered in that race only continue to try to add wills that will later be aligned when Juan Schiaretti and Martín Llaryora publicly define who will be the candidate. At the moment, the Peronist popes are very busy resolving alliances and adding non-partisans for the provincial election.

Llaryora is working on the arrival of the radical mayor of Juárez Celman, Myrian Prunotto, to whom she could cede the candidacy for lieutenant governor or promise her a ministry in an eventual new Peronist government. Prunotto, highly criticized for the leadership of the UCR, says that she will not arrive alone but that other mayors and leaders of the centenary party will accompany her.

Close to Llaryora they comment that next month the situation will begin to be defined because they understand that no more time can be wasted. In addition, the indefinitions of the opponents give it an extra advantage, both in the Province and in the city of Córdoba and other important points in the interior.

If Peronism is concerned about the lack of definition of the candidate for lieutenant governor and mayor of the Capital, you just have to imagine what happens in Together for Change. Effervescence is growing in some sectors of the UCR and especially in judiciary, which is convinced that they are giving away a lot of ground to the PJ. And they unload their discomfort with De Loredo, who does not give in and will recently say what he will do when Schiaretti publishes the electoral schedule.

Two big unknowns. That is why the political fight in Capital is complex and the resolution through an internal one is feasible, unless De Loredo is the candidate for mayor. “The internal one is a great issue and the other thing that must be followed closely is the date. It is one thing for the provincial and municipal elections to go together and quite another for them to be held on different days”, pointed out another reference from the UCR.

If De Loredo renounces his provincial aspirations and decides to fight in the Capital, there would be no type of competition, with which the applicants that exist today would reconvert to run as vice-mayor candidates.

Now, if De Loredo remains in his position and does not renounce his provincial aspiration, all sources agree that “a safe internal is coming” because there are none of the applicants who have unanimous acceptance, rather the opposite.

“Almost all those listed so far have some serious problems: a high level of ignorance and little intention to vote, and those who know them do not speak well of them,” says an expert in public opinion, accustomed to conducting and interpreting polls.

The date is a key factor and this is an obstacle for Peronism, especially if the two elections are held on different days, because De Loredo could appear in both contests, as suggested by voices from Juntos. “We are not stupid; If the Capital election is differentiated, it will be called on a date that prevents Rodrigo from being a candidate in both”, they repeat from the Peronism bunker.

At the moment, everything is in a haze, although in Together for the Capital Change the nerves grow. And the political actors are very similar to those in the play “Six Characters in Search of an Author”, a key piece of the theater of the absurd written by Luigi Pirandello in 1921. The key work of the theater of the absurd is a fact of reality , not a malicious interpretation.
