A 19-year-old young man was arrested near the Cruz del Eje prison accused of trying to throw drugs into the establishment with a tire iron.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office reported that they seized 116 doses of marijuana and three cell phones. The operation was carried out in the last hours on Panama street in mediations of the prison complex.
According to an officer, the suspect “apparently tried to communicate throwing illicit substances into the jail using a slingshot.”
The case is being investigated by the Cruz del Axis Prosecutor’s Office for the Fight against Drug Trafficking, who ordered the transfer of the young man to court for alleged violation of the national law on narcotics.
From the Police of Córdoba information that during the procedure two men, aged 29 and 43, and a woman, aged 41, were also arrested.
