Netflix’s library of stand-up specials has now surpassed 300 titles and 2023 has over a dozen new specials added so far. Below is a full rundown of all the new stand-up comedy specials Netflix has added throughout the year.
You may notice that Netflix has slowed down the release of stand-up specials significantly in recent years, and that’s painfully clear in 2023. In the first six months of 2023, Netflix has only released 16 new stand-up specials, while in the same time span in 2022, there were 33 specials.
This is almost certainly a direct effect of the reduced payments that Netflix is paying for specials like outlined by the WSJ at the end of 2022.
