This Thursday a court in Madrid, which reported the four men who had been arrested in Spain for an alleged hate crime when hanging from a bridge a doll with the T-shirt of Vinicius Jr. they were released on bail.
To the subjects, who are being investigated for a crime against the player’s moral integrity as wellThey were prohibited from approaching and communicating with the Real Madrid winger while the investigation continues.
The case arose after an inflatable doll wearing Vinícius’s number 20 jersey was hung from a bridge in front of Real Madrid’s training grounds ahead of a game against Atlético Madrid in January. Next to the doll was a large red and white banner —the colors of Atlético— which read “Madrid hates Real”.
Three of the detainees were members of “a radical group of fans of a Madrid club” who had previously been identified as “high risk” during matches, according to the Police. According to the court, the four suspects are also prohibited from approaching Real Madrid’s training grounds.
They will not be allowed to come closer than 1,000 meters from the Santiago Bernabéu and Civitas Metropolitano stadiums, or any LaLiga stadium during football matches.
