The Last of Us will have its game at Universal

The last of us, The critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic PlayStation video game that also has a hugely successful streaming series will come to life from September 1 in a new haunted house in Universal Orlando Resort Halloween Horror Nights and from Thursday, September 7 in Universal Studios Hollywood. Here the visitors will have to survive in the game set in a devastated civilization, where the winds and the supported survivors run rampant and also celebrate the tenth anniversary of the video game.

The haunted houses of The Last of Us will plunge you into a world of carnage and mayhem as you follow in the footsteps of the game’s protagonists, Joel and Ellie, who endure a brutal journey in a world overrun by a fungal virus that turns humans in a new threat known as the provoked. As visitors encounter the resisters: runners, stalkers, and clickers, along with the hunters, a band of hostile humans, they must navigate Pittsburgh’s quarantine zone, which includes iconic game icons like the creepy and desolate The Hotel Grand and a maze of dark and dank tunnels, in a desperate attempt to escape and survive.

“We are excited to bring The Last of Us to life in a terrifying haunted house that is true to the spirit of this popular video game with our heroes, Joel and Ellie, Clickers and more,” said Lora Sauls, Assistant Director, Creative Development and Director of Shows at Universal Orlando Resort. “The in-game world offers a multitude of terrifying and suspenseful opportunities to provide guests with a unique experience that can only be found at Halloween Horror Nights,” added John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood.
