This Friday it was learned that the Administrative Court of Cundinamarca ruled in favor of Uber, in a process against the Superintendency of Transportationfinding that it sanctioned the platform without taking into account that it is not a public transport service provider.

Thus, the court dropped the sanctions that the Supertransporte had imposed on the application in 2016 and returned the 451 million of the sanction with the respective interest.
However, The Superintendency of Transportation reported that the decision of the Administrative Court of Cundinamarca is a first instance rulingWell, an appeal has already been filed.

“Regarding the sentence issued by the Administrative Court of Cundinamarca, on the process instituted by the company Uber Colombia SAS, against the Superintendence of Transportation, the Entity is allowed to inform that this decision is a first instance ruling, and it has already been filed an appeal”, see read in a statement issued by the Superintendency.
They also highlighted that there will be no more pronouncements against the court’s decision until there is a final ruling. For now, they will be attentive to the development of the ongoing process before the Council of State.
