The posting was on July 6, that is, 16 days after the death of the retiree and almost six months after the official request to PAMI. who published it was Cristina Vañecek, daughter of the deceased retiree and to whom PAMI responsible.

Although it went viral on July 6, this claim began on January 11 when Cristina Vañecek made a formal request to PAMI for the wheelchair. “They told me that it took 45 daysSince I didn’t know if they were straight or skilled, I calculated that by the end of March or the beginning of April I had to be there, ”said the woman from Mar del Plata.

PAMI: all the procedures that retirees and pensioners can carry out by WhatsApp

After two months without news, he approached the PAMI branch to ask about the order. The branch warned him that since they had changed the platform of the website there could be problems with the orders and they advised him that, if the chair did not arrive at the end of the month, he should call again. As of April, he continued with the claims, although always without a positive response. “My mom when she was well her name was. I also called when she was hospitalized, ”said Cristina with great pain.

“I wanted to know if the chair was going to come or if I had to buy one, I would evaluate buying it when I get the bonus and I was thinking of paying one part in cash and financing the other. But I had no answers,” Vañecek said. “I didn’t want to buy a chair if the other one was going to arrive after 10 or 15 days. When I wanted to buy it, they told me that there were no chairs and that’s when I decided to rent a chair,” said Cristina.

The PAMI grants 10,000 pesos to retirees: adequate are the requirements

The claims continued until June 20 when Cristina Vañecek’s mother died. A month later she received the wheelchair at her house. This aroused her anger and she channeled it with the photo and a post on Twitter: “It was a catharsis, a release, a moment to say, ‘ah well, he was late.’ At the moment I asked for it, I remembered that I had read something similar on social networks and I prayed that the same thing did not happen to me, but it also happened to me ”.

“It is strange because you feel pain, I had an empty chair, someone else is going to use it. I felt sorry for the man who introduced her to me because I told him that my mother had died. She did not know how to apologize and she told me that she was dying of shame, ”reflected the woman from Mar del Plata in dialogue with Telenoche.

PAMI’s discharge

After her tweet went viral and the media covered the fact, PAMI made a statement and accused the family of the deceased retiree. From the government agency they denounced that they sent the wheelchair and that there was no one in the house. Added to that, he stressed that the affiliate had all the guaranteed coverage.

“There was always someone in my house because when I’m not there, my brother is there and when he’s not there, my mother was there, except for the time she was hospitalized. In fact, we take care that there is someone in the house because we are waiting for the chair, “Cristina Vañecek responded to PAMI’s accusation.

PAMI: how to carry out the affiliation procedures

For her part, the daughter of the deceased retiree denied that her mother had received full medication coverage: “My mom had her medication coverage like any retiree. There were other things that she had to buy because PAMI did not cover them 100%. The PAMI recognizes five medicines at 100% and then the rest is either at 80 or 50 or 60%. My mom was using a cream for ulcers that cost 9,000 pesos and covered 50%. I can buy it in installments with a credit card to relieve myself”.

The last good-bye

Prior to the catharsis carried out on social networks, Cristina also increased Twitter as a farewell message to her mother: “She left me. I don’t know what to do with all this that I have inside. She was a lioness, a warrior, who fought her until the last moment, but her huge heart said enough. See you soon, mommy, you have no idea how much I’m missing you! Thank you for being my mom. I love you!”
