The statue of Diego Armando Maradona that was found in the mediations of the stadium of the Naples could reach La Bombonera, according to information confirmed by Domenico Sepe, artist of the imposing sculpture.

“The statue, if it does not stay in an iconic place in Naples, as I wish, could probably go to the Bombonera: I am in negotiation with Boca Juniors”, Sepe said at a press conference.
The reasons for the return of the statue of the historic Argentine player became known after the second anniversary of his death, which occurred on November 25, 2020.
The figure was originally located in the sector distinctive from the sports scene, but unfortunately only 24 appeared because they did not have the necessary permits to remain in that sector.
The artist had previously been criticized by the fans of the Neapolitan team, who were quite dissatisfied with the reproduction of the image of the Argentine star driving the ball with his right foot, when, in reality, all soccer fans know that Maradona was the owner of an incomparable left foot.
It is expected that in the coming weeks the approval of an agreement between the directors of the Xeneize group and the European artist will arrive with the intention that the statue reaches Argentine soil.
