Another fire in the Ecological Reserve: firefighters work to prevent “new outbreaks”

Crews of Firefighters and the Federal Police worked tonight in the place to surround the flames, the most affected area being the called Camino de los Alders.

“Today at 5:14 p.m. two sources of fire were reactivated in the Reserve”informed the CABA Secretary of the Environment, noting that several teams attended to prevent the advance of the flames towards areas of the park, which are home to some 300 species of mammals and another 2,000 of birds and fish.

“Currently we have nine fire departments are working to control them,” they added.

Regarding the possible causes of the flames, it was clarified that although the fire on Wednesday had been “controlled”, but since it had not been declared extinguished, some of its ramifications could have caused the outbreaks this Saturday.
