At the age of 41, Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced his retirement from football

During the day of Sunday June 4, Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave a surprising announcement. The Swede had to end his professional career after playing his last game in what was the victory of the AC Milan 3 to 1 over the Hellas Verona.

With the presence of the fans of the Rossonero team, the footballer took a microphone to deliver a few words to the fans. “The time has come to say goodbye to football, not to you”said.

Ibrahimovic returned to Milan with the intention of becoming champion but he could not achieve it. His last times were accompanied by an injury that took him away from the courts and this situation probably affected his decision.

Zlatan left Milan with a representative record. He played 116 official matches in which he scored a total of 93 goals and also contributed 35 assists. He won two Scudettos and an Italian Super Cup.
