Barracas Central controlled and beat an alternative River that did not react in time

River, with an alternative team, did not go well against Barracas Central and lost 2-1, in an attractive match that was played at the Claudio Chiqui Tapia stadium. Midfielder Carlos Arce, 18 minutes into the first half, and Mauro Peinipil, 11 minutes into the match, scored for Barracas, while Miguel Borja, 17 minutes into the second half, discounted for the Millionaire.

Those led by Sergio “Huevo” Rondina took a historic victory over River and they did it with total justice from a football point of view, with practically complete dominance, led by their figures, Iván Tapia in the middle and Bruno Sepúlveda in attack.

At the start of the game, Barracas Central already made the alternative River feel the rigor with a set piece from a corner kick: they moved it short and threw a cross to the far post for Francisco Álvarez, who finished off and was saved by Franco Armani .

A quarter of an hour later, after various insinuations, the opening of the scoring also arrived thanks to a set play: Iván Tapia took charge of a free kick from the right edge of the area, Arce entered the middle alone, since his teammates took the mark, and, with a powerful header to the right post, the historic midfielder made it 1-0.

At the end of the first half, in the clearest action that River had, it reached the tie, but Enzo Díaz’s goal was annulled due to an offside that left controversy in the substitute bench of Demichelis’s team that led to the expulsion of field assistant Javier Pinola.

In the complement, the roles were reversed in terms of leadership: Núñez’s team took possession, but it was not sharp, something that Barracas did change in a stopped ball in their favor and increased the score with Peinipil’s goal, who capitalized on a Tapia center.

The blow seemed to be lethal for a River that was shipwrecked in uncertainty for a few minutes, but a shot from Agustín Palavecino from medium distance burned the hands of goalkeeper Desábato, who rebounded, and there Borja took a powerful shot to discount and put the story 2-1.

At the end of the game there was an interesting and attractive back and forth, in which River flirted with the tie that was finally unable to achieve, while Barracas was able to increase the score, but the offside sealed the 2-1. A historic triumph.
