Belgrano lost to Barracas and ended an 11-month losing streak at Alberdi

After 11 months (on August 7, 2022 against Miter de Santiago del Estero) Belgrano lost again in Alberdi. In a game to which he never found a return, they fell 2-0 against Barracas Central, who came from beating River in their stadium. On the contrary, the Pirate sought recovery after losing to the Institute but found no answers on the pitch.

Barracas Central’s goals were converted by Brian Alejandro Calderara and Francisco Álvarez, one in each half.

Sergio Rondina’s plan was to play in the opponent’s field and with the ball on the ground, pressing the opponent and going quickly to attack, a tactic that gave him immediate revenue, since after 9 minutes Bruno Sepúlveda combined with Facundo Mater, so that they I filtered behind the local left-back, and placed the cross under for Calderara’s arrival at the far post and with a precise touch he sent the ball into the back of the net.

Thus, the ‘Handsome’ showed a very good attitude to carry out the game, driven by the victory he had just obtained against the leader River last date.

The ‘B’, who came from a defeat in the classic against Instituto, lacked game volume, and only a few brushstrokes from the skilful Bruno Zapelli gave him some clarity, but the midfielder played very far from the rival area and his contribution was inconsequential .

Once again, the scorer Pablo Vegetti was left very isolated in the attack and he hoped that a clean ball would fall on him to have a chance, but it did not happen.

Guillermo Farré looked for answers on the bench in the complement and sent Ariel Rojas and Guillermo Pereira to start, but the dynamics continued to be similar.

Even Barracas felt comfortable against, through which the second goal came, when Alexis Domínguez led an attack and demanded a long-distance shot from Nahuel Losada, but the goalkeeper granted a rebound that was left to Álvarez, who took advantage of the evil back off defense ?Pirate? and I arrive without a mark to define and put the 2 to 0.

Belgrano could not do too much to discount, due to his own shortcomings and the rival’s virtues, who showed a great level and was able to sustain it for 90 minutes, even discovering another opportunity to increase, with very outstanding individual performances.

On Monday Belgrano will look for the next recovery when he visits Colón in Santa Fe, and Barracas Central that same day will have a difficult commitment at home against Argentinos Juniors.
