Brazil builds tower in the Amazon to monitor the weather

Reports from Brazil say construction has begun on a giant observation tower in the heart of the Amazon basin to monitor climate change.

The Amazonas High Tower Observatory (Atto) is expected to have a height of 325 meters.

The instruments with which they will be equipped will collect data on the greenhouse effect, aerosol particles and climatic conditions in one of the largest tropical forests on the planet.
