Ceferino Reato: “Thanks to the opposition, the Government has a chance of coming out first in the elections”

Sunday May 7th is celebrated three choices in the provinces of Misiones, Jujuy and La Rioja that they already have elected governor, with the ruling party as the clear winner. However, the 2023 elections appear in Argentina but the most disturbing questions are whether the ruling coalitions will be affected by the CPI results that INDEC may throw.

For this reason, the journalist Ceferino Reatodirector of the magazine Fortuna of Editorial Perfil, analyzed the results of Sunday’s provincial elections and commented on the perspectives that worry politics in the face of the next elections.

“The ruling party won and it is a trend that will probably continue, except in La Pampa where the opposition can unseat Peronism, but we have to see”. Then the interviewee said: “In the provinces, the governors have a whole network that allows them to reach the citizens. That is why the tendency in the provinces is to unfold the presidential elections.”

The economy in the 2023 elections

The journalist assured that he was not surprised by the results in Missions, Jujuy and La Rioja, because “in the provinces the armed forces, the fidelity, the captive vote weigh more than the governors develop and do it very well.” However, “the economic situation affects them, but the voters know that not everything depends on the governors.”

Besides, “I think the economic situation will manifest itself in the largest districts: Córdoba, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos and Mendoza. and in the presidential elections”. But “we have to see how”.

opposition division

I think that thanks to the division of the opposition, the government has a chance, minimal, but even to come out first.”. For this, the journalist said that “they have to realize several things: first, we are so bad that we depend on help from the International Monetary Fund, that is, if there is no help, the government will do badly.” But if Help arrives and the opposition continues to divide, I do not rule out that they come out first”.

Alliance of Javier Milei and Together for Change

For Ceferino Reato, the union of Javier Milei and Together for Change can be effectivebut “It is necessary to see how it is done, because in politics the sum of the partialities is not always more than the totality”.

“Milei has many votes and as the crisis progresses she will have more votes, but she does not have a national army.” “In the elections, not only do they have to vote for you, but also, afterward, the votes have to be counted.” For that “You need prosecutors on all sides and if you don’t have them, the other parties are going to steal your votes.”

Then Realo explained that Milei takes votes from the opposition and for this reason Cristina Kirchner brought him into the ringmainly so that the Frente de Todos manages to maintain the governorship of the province of Buenos Aires.
