Expanding its slate of thriller series, Netflix ordered a new political drama/thriller called The madness. It is scheduled to be produced by Peter Chernin of The Chernin Group, the company behind Netflix. fear street trilogy, by Idris Elba lutherand Jason Momoa, starring Dreamland.

The madness It will be produced by Peter Chernin, the production company of Chernin Entertainment, and Clement Virgo.
Chernin Entertainment entered into a multi-year first look deal with Netflix in April 2020 and has produced nearly half a dozen projects released thus far with many more on the way.

The Madness has been in development for over a year, and so far we’ve had two main synopses for the series.
The older tagline we had for the series was “a political thriller with a Van Jones (CNN) lookalike at the center. When he witnesses a murder, he becomes the target of a manhunt to keep a politician’s dark and racially charged dealings secret.”
A more refined (albeit similar) summary of the project has since been published:
“When a newscaster witnesses a murder, he becomes the target of a manhunt to keep secret some politician’s dark and racially charged dealings.”
As of January 2023, there are no cast members of The madness have yet been revealed.
Filming will begin soon, so we hope to learn more in the coming weeks.
As of January 2023, Netflix The madness is in pre-production in Toronto, Canada, and is expected to begin shooting on March 13.
Filming will take place primarily in Canada and is scheduled to last until June 27, 2023.
