Confusion with Christian Atsu: they assured that they rescued him from the rubble but he is still missing

On Monday the information came out that Christian Atsu, Hatayspor footballer, was rescued after being trapped in the rubble of a destroyed building after the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Turkey. In principle, it was known that He was alive and had been taken to a hospital.

Including, the vice president of the club, Mustafa Ozat, had confirmed that Atsu emerged from the rubble with injuries.

However, Hatayspor announced on Wednesday that they cannot find him at the hospital where he was reportedly taken. The club doctor Gurbey Kahvecisaid: “When we heard the news that ‘he was taken to Dortyol Hospital’, we went and looked, but he was not there.”

Also, Atsu’s agent, Nana Secherealso revealed via Twitter that the player’s location is unknown: “Following yesterday’s update from the club that Christian had been brought out alive, we still have to confirm the parade“.

“As you can imagine, This continues to be a devastating time for his family and we are doing everything we can to locate Christian.Nana added.
