Fullero: Cristina Kirchner’s adjective to describe Massa

Cristina Kirchner made his first public appearance after the closure of lists that left sergio masa as a presidential candidate for the Unión por la Patria. At one point in the speech, beyond the criticism of President Alberto Fernández and other leaders, the vice president addressed the Minister of Economy directly and described him as “fulero”.

you are half a crookbecause every thing I say to him he answers me: ‘I bet you this, I bet you a rib, I bet you the other’“said the former president and remarked:” There are people who bet, and it is good to bet because to win you have to bet, always.

From that phrase, many people began to wonder what it meant “fulero”, the adjective that the vice president had chosen to describe the head of the Palacio de Hacienda, at a relaxed moment in the afternoon.

As defined by the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE), “fullero” refers to a person who does fullerías or who acts with outrageousness. In this sense, fraud is defined as the “cunning, caution and art with which it pretends to deceive” and also as one “cheating and cheating that is committed in the game”. There were also those who understood that the official used the word as a synonym for “hardcore player.”

Cristina Kirchner gave her first sign of support for Massa’s candidacy: “To win you always have to bet”

The particular description of the Minister of Economy took place in an act that both shared this Monday for the part in the Jorge Newbery metropolitan airport for the recovery of the Skyvan PA-51 plane, which was used in the “Flights of death” of the last military dictatorship.

Specifically, the vice president was recounting an anecdote about a meeting between the two during the last month of November to discuss the issue of the aircraft in question.

“The meeting was at the end of November, and he told me that he would try to bring it by December 8. ‘What year?’ I joked,” the vice president said and concluded: “The will is good, but if there is too much will it can become voluntarism, then you have to correct and moderate. So I told him I wasn’t going to be able to bring it.”

The curious “qualification” was during Massa’s first act with Cristina after being announced as a presidential candidate for Unión por la Patria. The former president was also accompanied by Horacio Pietragalla, Secretary of Human Rights.

Regarding the hectic closing of lists, and the surprise that the minister’s candidacy meant, the former president stated: “The militants and citizens will have seen the candidacy with surprise. But to win you have to bet. A unit list was necessary for the serious problems of Argentine society“.
