Michael Sun of The Guardian (who previously worked at Netflix Australia as a culture editor) noted that the series had has been boosted thanks to TikTok (a phenomenon we’ve seen before lifting titles like ginny and georgia and purple hearts). At press time, the show had amassed 12.5 billion views on TikTok, likely drawing attention to Netflix.
