Historic: Carlos Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic and was crowned at Wimbledon

This result will undoubtedly remain in the history books because in addition to the title being at stake, The number 1 position in the ATP ranking held by the young Spanish tennis player was in dispute.

Djokovic won the first set with an overwhelming 6-1, Alcarazó equalized the story in the second through an incredible tie break and turned it around in the thirdwhich featured an eternal game of 26 minutes.

However, Djokovic did not give up and won the fourth set with a resounding 6-3 and they went to the fifth, in which the Spaniard was caught with a break to obtain an unforgettable victory.

This way, Alcaraz will remain at the top and added his second Major after having celebrated at the US Open 2022while the Serbian legend failed to reach his 24th Grand Slam title.
