“The water work is what struck me the most. Now I can have an automatic washing machine or wash the dishes without waiting for pressure,” said Gustavo, a resident of 9 de Julio-La Canchita, northeast of the city of Córdoba.
This neighborhood was the last in which infrastructure works were enabled, along with Villa Ávalos in the Capital. In the interior, during the past week the works were also completed in six Saldán neighborhoods: Minetti, Saldán Inchin, Manantiales, Lomas de Manantiales, San Remo and La Fábrica.
The tasks are in charge of the provincial government, through the Ministry of Habitat and Family Economy, and are part of the provincial urbanization plan, which will transform more than 100 neighborhoods, benefiting 36,000 families.
“No one chooses to live in a place where every time it rains you cannot cross the street or where an ambulance does not enter because everything floods”, Minister Laura Jure explained, while adding that it seeks to advance in “real integration and social inclusion processes. Today, in each neighborhood where works were completed, the residents already have services in their homes, public lighting and green spaces to recreate”.
In general, the projects include the opening of streets, ditch cordon, construction of drinking water networks, sewers, drainage, electricity and home connections, installation of containers, public lighting, ramps and trees. It should be noted that these works are simultaneous and vary according to the survey of specific problems that are carried out in each place.

How to “navigate” the works
What are the developments that are underway in the province? What stage of execution are they in? Through a virtual map, residents can be aware of the works that have already been carried out and those that are being carried out simultaneously.
This tool allows you to visualize in a geolocalized way the progress and construction of water, electricity, road networks, drainage, home connections and enhancement of green spaces. In addition, you can access the intervened polygons, beneficiary families and tenders.
Entering in you can browse maps, images, infographics and more. Currently, the platform already has more than 23 thousand visits.
