Mauro Zárate suffered a serious injury two weeks after his debut in Serie B in Italy

Mauro Zarate he had a tough injury during his return to football in Italy. The Argentine striker suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee that will keep him away from the courts, at least, for the remainder of this season.

The former Boca only played three games with his new team in one campaignin which Cosenza desperately seeks to get away from the last places in the Serie B standings.

After confirming the injury, the South American striker posted a message on his social networks. “You can’t imagine how sorry I am for not being able to help Cosenza in the next important games. I’m confident because I know the boys will give everything to reach the finish line. We’ll see each other soon. Let’s go Lobos”, sure.

The attacker arrived on European soil after his move to Platense in a campaign in which he was able to score three goals in 20 games. In this way, the Argentine adds his fourth experience in Italian football after having played in Lazio, Inter and Fiorentina.
