Happy New Year! Welcome to your daily roundup of what’s new on Netflix, where we’ll take a look at all the new shows and movies that just landed on the service to bring in the new year.

We should note that, overall, Netflix had a net loss on titles today. In total, he lost 148 titles compared to the 69 novelties he added.

How does today’s haul compare to the additions on January 1 of the previous year (this can give you an indication of how many titles Netflix has under license):

January 1, 2022 – 85 new releases
2021 – 53 new releases
2019 – 114 new releases

Giancarlo Esposito heads up this innovative new Netflix series that allows you to watch the show in any order. The premise of the series is that a major heist is to take place, with each episode taking place before, during, or after the heist itself.

Reviews have been positive thus far, with the show already having a 6.7 on IMDb, but very few reviews are available at press time.

Netflix added several big new licensed shows to the service today, with one that flew under the radar of most people (not ours, as we’ve got it covered) being all six seasons of Mindy Kaling. The Mindy Project. That also includes all Hulu seasons, with this being the first time a Hulu Original has ended up on Netflix.

Rocky Movie Collection

People love it when Netflix can license an entire movie franchise instead of select titles (looking at you, Transformers), and that’s the case with Rocky today with all five movies added today.

The franchise follows Rocky, a small-time boxer from Philadelphia who isn’t going anywhere, until an incredible opportunity to fight the heavyweight champion of the world ignites a fire inside him.
