Pluto is an upcoming Netflix Original Japanese science fiction anime feature film and an adaptation of the manga of the same name by authors Naoki Urasawa and Takashi Nagasaki. This is the first time that Pluto has been adapted into an anime, almost fourteen years after his manga ended.
Japanese animation studio Genco is the production studio behind the anime film.
At the time of writing, Netflix has yet to reveal a release date for Pluto.
However, the streaming service has released a teaser for the anime. In the Japan 2023 anime, Pluto will be featured between 11:20 and 11:50 a.m. JST, which means we can reveal the release date at the end of March 2023.

Famous for his military service in the 39th Asian War, the legendary Swiss robot Montblanc is violently assassinated. Humans and robots around the world are mourning the beloved celebrity. Montblanc’s popularity only grew in the years after the war, thanks to his dedication to nature conservation and his loving personality.
Once a fellow war veteran, Europol robotic detective Gesicht is sent to investigate the tragic demise of Montblanc. In pursuit of it, Gesicht discovers evidence of a mysterious entity known only as “Pluto”. He also learns of a conspiratorial plot to dismantle the eight specialized robots from around the world that participated in the war. Racing against time to save those who remain, Gesicht grapples with memory, his morality, and a world filled with hate, desperately trying to defend the fragile coexistence of man and machine.
Shinshuu Fuji is the voice of Gesicht. Fans of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure will be familiar with his work, as he is the voice of Risotto Nero. Fans of Seven Deadly Sins will recognize him as the voice of Chandler.

Youko Hikasa is the voice of Atom. Hikasa is best known for playing the role of Rias Gremory in the Highschool DxD anime series, and as Mio Akiyama in K-On! franchise.
