Trunk is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original romantic drama series directed by Kim Kyu Tae (Live) and written by screenwriter Park Eun Young (Hwarang). The series is an adaptation of the novel of the same name.

“Trunk” follows the lives of Noh In Ji, the head of a fixed-term marriage service agency called NM who arranges his clients a married life with their dream spouses, and music producer Han Jung Won. Neither of them is on board with the idea of marriage… though their career revolves around it, Noh In Ji prefers to remain single, while Han Jung Won firmly believes that all marriages are a hoax.
Gong Yoo will be playing the lead role of Han Jeong Won. An instantly recognizable face to Netflix’s millions of subscribers around the world, Gong Yoo played the salesman who recruited Seong Gi Hoon in Squid Game. He also starred in the Netflix sci-fi K-drama The Silent Sea. Outside of Netflix, Gong Yoo is best known for playing the lead roles in Train to Busaanand Elf.

Seo Hyun Jin will be playing the lead role of Noh In Ji. Netflix subscribers will be familiar with Seo Hyun Jin thanks to her roles in dramas like Youth record and you are my spring. Outside of Netflix, she is best at starring in dramas like Here Comes Mr. Oh, Goddess of Fire, and Ddo Oh Hae Young.

At the time of writing, Netflix has not announced a release date for Trunk.
Considering that filming hasn’t started yet, we would expect Trunk which will be released on Netflix sometime in the second half of 2024.
