Follow your dreams

Dreams are the key to success. Without them they would not achieve any lasting or significant triumph.

Like a car engine running out of fuel, without dreams you risk living a life that never quite gets going.

Behind a successful person there is always a dream come true. I have mentored hundreds of people successfully and all of them have managed to succeed by making at least one of their dreams come true.

It may be a childhood dream or one that arose later, but there is always at least one dream connected to your triumphs, something that motivated you, pushed you, excited you, and captivated you.

This dream becomes the goal that leads you to believe in the impossible, to make unexpected changes in your life, to get out of your comfort zone and take risks that are otherwise unthinkable.

Adults often choose to ignore or forget what we really like. We allow ourselves to be influenced by the advice and expectations of others.

I speak from my own experience: I loved architecture and psychology, but I listened to third parties and ended up studying Business Administration. I became something else, and for years I was unhappy, instead of pursuing my dream career. Until I redirected my dreams.

Have you done something similar at some point in your life? Sometimes you only realize that you did not follow the proper path after the fact.

Successful people never forget what they love to do, the things they are passionate about. They quickly learn to follow their own dream.

The key is to recognize where you are now, know where you would like to be and analyze how you can close the gap between the one and the other. It’s not easy, so I suggest you ask for help and start now.

Are you ready to live your dream?

You may be saying to yourself, “I have a dream.” I think it’s worth pursuing. Now what? How do I know I have a good chance of sticking with it?

Some questions worth asking yourself:

What is your dream? When will you start diagramming it? What’s stopping you from going for it?

What is your definition of success? Do you think you’re going to have it?
