Scientists discover the best time to train and lose weight

A group of Swedish scientists assumes that the exercise first thing in the morning of the day could help to lose weight. The research was done with mice, and it revealed promising results.

The study consisted of analyzing the biological processes of the rodents, which ran day or night. Mice that exercised early, that is, in the morning, had the most active metabolism..

Mental health: fit are the benefits of doing physical activity

The researchers observed how the different organs released molecules depending on the time they exercised. The release of molecules improve different aspects of health, such as memory, sleep, among others.

Results of the research

The results, which were published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciencesdetermine what fat accumulation and heat production were higher when the rodents trained in the morning. Mice with the highest metabolic rate consumed more calories, therefore they were more likely to lose weight.

The biologist of the Karolinska Institute, Juleen Zierath, assured that exercise in the morning could become more effective for those people who seek to lose weight. Above all, those who are overpressed. Even so, the specialist concluded that more studies are necessary to obtain precise results.

Exercise: Is It Determinant To Lose Weight?

Scientists from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark were considered for research in order to contribute to more effective exercise plans. However, the study only looked at running activity. Other exercises may give different results. In addition, age, sex and health conditions were not considered for the research. Also, mice are nocturnal animals, so the results are not definitive.

Juleen Zierath said that despite the lack of further evidence, the results reveal potential for people. The researchers will seek to analyze whether the responses obtained also occur in humans.
