Sweet tooth It is expected to be renewed before the debut of its second season on Netflix, what’s on netflix has learned.

Developed by Jim Mickle and based on the comic by Jeff Lemire, Sweet Tooth first debuted on Netflix in June 2021 to rave reviews and, according to Netflix, had been Viewed by 60 million homes. It also appeared for two weeks in Netflix’s hourly data top 10 (dating back only to June 27).

The series stars Nonso Anozie, Christian Convery, Adeel Akhtar, and Stefania LaVie Owen.

Following the success of the first season, the show was renewed for a season 2 at the end of July 2021.

Season 2 of Sweet tooth It is confirmed that it is among the list of the 2023 series that will arrive on Netflix. It was filmed during the first half of 2022, officially ending on June 10, 2022.

We assumed that the series would arrive sometime between the first and third quarter of 2023.

That brings us to season 3.

We usually have to wait until shows have hit Netflix and a few weeks’ worth of stats are available, but that doesn’t seem to be the case for Sweet tooth securing a season 3 renewal order extremely early.

Thanks to multiple sources and people linked to the production, Netflix has apparently given a renewal order in advance.

Several members of the team have worked on season 3 of Sweet tooth from the end of summer 2022, according to their respective CVs and professional profiles. A Netflix executive also listed Sweet tooth season 3 within your profile.

It’s unclear if season 3 will go into full production, and of course we’ll have to wait for official news from Netflix.

As you may know, DC recently released their 8-10 year grand strategy with James Gunn announcing a list of 10 new film and television projects. Notably, two of Netflix’s DC titles weren’t mentioned and are instead believed to be included in the flag of other worlds.

This new plan has affected some DC productions (like the end of Titans, for example), but projects sold elsewhere do not seem to be affected.

The Sandman is the other DC project that is currently exclusive to Netflix and has been renewed for more episodes.
