Smiles and numbers: Massa met with Georgieva in India to discuss goals with the IMF

In a key instance of the long chain of meetings and encounters with the highest leaders of the global economy, the Minister of Economy Sergio Massa met this Saturday with the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). kristalina georgievawho, during the course of the fourth review that the technical instances of the organization must carry out on the Argentine accounts, limited himself to indicating that he saw the “good progress” of this issue.

Throughout his stay in India, Massa has held numerous meetings with heads of finance, one of the most important being the one he had with the Undersecretary for International Affairs of the United States Department of the Treasury, Jay Shambaugh; and the Italian Economy Ministers, Giancarlo Giorgetti; from Germany, christian lindner; from France, Bruno Le Maire; from India Nirmala Sitharamanand from Brazil, F.ernando haddad; among other officials from different G20 countries.

In these talks, the head of the Palacio de Hacienda addressed issues such as the impact of the war between Ukraine and Russia; the drought; and the possibility of expanding investments in Argentina.
