The Argentine National Team already has confirmed the rival for the first friendly of the year

The Argentina team has defined one of its rivals for the FIFA friendlies window in March: he will face Panama in the stadium Monumental he 24 of that month.

As reported double yellowThe Argentine Football Association (AFA) reached an agreement with its Panamanian counterpart to make this event effective. The date established so far is March 24, but it could be moved to the 23rd or 25th, since the 24th is the National Day for Memory, Truth and Justice.

One fact to keep in mind is that on the 28th of that month, the Panamanian team faces Costa Rica for the Concacaf Nations League.

On the other hand, Argentina must define who will face in the second match also friendly. There is still no defined rival, although what is certain is that this match will not be played in buenos aires and the possibilities being considered are Santiago del Estero or Córdoba.

The history between Argentina and Panama

Argentina and Panama will face each other twice. The first time they did it was in a friendly in 2009, when Diego Maradona led the national team, and it was a 3-1 victory for the albiceleste.

The second match in which they met was in the 2016 Copa América Centenario, in which the team won an overwhelming 5-0 with three goals from Lionel Messi.
