Saudi Arabia will host the next Club World Cupwhich will be held next December and will be the last tournament with the current format, before going on, in 2025, to a tournament with 32 teams.
The Council of fifa resolved today in Zurich that the traditional championship of champion clubs of the different Confederations will take place in Arab territory, between December 12 and 22. The vote of the members of the Council was “unanimous” to choose the agreed venue. Meanwhile, between June and July 2025 the next World Cup will be held, with the participation of 32 teams, according to this distribution.
The European Union (UEFA) will have 12 representatives, the South American continent (conmebol) have 6; the African Confederation (cyf), its Asian peer (AFC) and that of North and Central America (concacaf) will have 4 teams each; Oceania Football Federation (OF C) and the host country, one each. The scenario has not yet been defined.
