Russian troops have been seeking to take Bakhmut for months, symbol of control of the industrial region of Donbas. Although of little strategic value, the President of Ukraine Volodimir Zelensky promised to defend her but the situation is complex.

For its part, Russia assured that “NATO’s main objective is to inflict a strategic defeat.” on the invading country.
Among the latest NATO support measures for Ukraine, it stands out that Washington recently announced the delivery of an additional 500 million dollars to kyiv and last January the political-military alliance reached sending Leopard 2 tanks to the front lines.
