The phrase of the NATO director that disappoints Ukraine

Russian troops have been seeking to take Bakhmut for months, symbol of control of the industrial region of Donbas. Although of little strategic value, the President of Ukraine Volodimir Zelensky promised to defend her but the situation is complex.

A year ago, Bakhmut had 70 thousand inhabitants and today there are less than five thousand. Russian troops destroy everything in their path and there are constant shelling. The Kremlin claimed that a Ukrainian drone crashed about 100 km from Moscow, near a gas compression station.

Many others were allegedly shot down in various parts of the country without causing damage. In recent months there have been several similar incidents but it is the first time it happens in the capital of Russia.

Ukraine’s entry into NATO

The countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) agree that Ukraine is a member of the alliance in the long term. Ukraine’s entry into NATO is a red line for Moscow that is attributed to justify the invasion of the sovereign country.

The question now is to ensure that Ukraine remains an independent nation. and sovereign and for that we have to support it”, argued Jens Stoltenberg, current NATO Secretary General.

We must ensure that Putin does not invade Ukraine again “, completed the official. The time has come for Turkey and Hungary to ratify Finland’s entry into the alliance as they are the only NATO members that they did not validate the entry of the Nordic countries to the organization.

“Negotiating peace with Russia would be our suicide,” said Ukrainian analyst Oleksandr Slyvchuk

For its part, Russia assured that “NATO’s main objective is to inflict a strategic defeat.” on the invading country.

Among the latest NATO support measures for Ukraine, it stands out that Washington recently announced the delivery of an additional 500 million dollars to kyiv and last January the political-military alliance reached sending Leopard 2 tanks to the front lines.
