The film received a limited theatrical release before hitting Netflix worldwide on December 1, 2021.

The reason it is leaving Netflix UK is surely because of who owns and financed the film. While Netflix was the main distributor, BBC Films played a major role in the title. Willpower the power of the dog leave Netflix in other countries?

Not the short answer.

Our information suggests that only Netflix in the UK will lose the film. In fact, Netflix has the perpetual rights to the movie in all other countries, which means that as long as Netflix exists, the movie will be a permanent part of the Netflix library.

where to look the power of the dog in the UK after its removal from Netflix

We don’t have any confirmation on where the movie will stream after it leaves Netflix. Given the connection to BBC Films, you can now jump over to BBC iPlayer for a period of time, but we haven’t heard anything about that yet.

The only definitive way to see the film (legally) in the UK in the future would be to buy the Blu-Ray/DVD release of the film, which entered the Criterion Collection last year.

Of course, it could be the case that Netflix sees the return of the movie in the future. Keep an eye on our new Netflix UK weekly roundup for more on that.

Editor’s Note: We’ve reached out to Netflix about this and have yet to hear back.
