The strong release of Boca after the closure of La Bombonera

During the day of this Saturday, the Prosecutor’s Office specialized in massive events closed the Superior South Tribune due to the incidents that were made known during the comparison for the first date of the professional league against the Atlético Tucumán team.

The excess in capacity that was accompanied by the resale of missing tickets that in this sector of the sports arena visible cracks appeared during the movement of the fans.

Faced with this situation, Xeneize published a harsh statement referring to what happened. It is worth noting that this measure was announced less than a day before the clash against Central Córdoba in an event, in which the Azul y Oro will not have the presence of 5,000 followers, who would have already bought their income.

Boca statement after the closure of the South Tribune of La Bombonera

“Today, Saturday, just 24 hours after the game that our team will play against Central Córdoba, the Mass Events Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Prosecutor of the City of Buenos Aires decided to close the third southern tray of La Bombonera.

Given this measure, Club Atlético Boca Juniors communicates that, as always, it has complied with all the necessary procedures; has delivered the structural data and relevant engineering studies to the Government Control Agency of the city of Buenos Aires to have our stadium enabled and in order.

It is strange that when the game took place on Sunday and that, again at the request of Prosecutor Celsa Ramírez, the court waited until today to issue the closure, leaving the Club and its fans without the ability to resolve.

Boca Juniors regrets this judicial decision, which it considers unfair, discriminatory, surprising and untimely, due to the proximity of the event. True to its custom and to one of the priorities set by this Board of Directors, since its inauguration in December 2019, the club will ensure the safety of the fans who attend this Sunday to cheer on the team.”
