‘The Tutor’ To Makes Its SVOD Streaming Debut On Netflix In July 2023

Netflix in the US will soon be the streaming home for the recently released movie The tutor, just a few months after its theatrical debut in March 2023.

Scheduled to hit Netflix US on July 8, 2023, The tutor is a mystery thriller directed by Jordan Ross and distributed by Vertical Entertainment. have a theatrical release early this year and it was added to VOD platforms a few months later. Now, two months later, it will be the first time the film has been available on a subscription service.

Please note that the movie is currently only showing to come to Netflix in the United States. Availability in other regions will likely vary.

At press time, the film only has a 19% RottenTomatoes score from critics and 55% from audiences.

Most of the criticism is on the film’s budget and the script itself, but most point out that, generally speaking, the actors’ performances convey what’s there.

On the more positive end of the review spectrum, Julian Roman of MovieWeb concluded:

“The Tutor suffers from major logical flaws. He keeps you hooked to a pulpy climax with a devilish twist. The big reveal is unlikely and unrealistic, but it’s a fun villainy to watch.”
