The prequel to the 2019 hit Vietnamese film Furie, Ngo’s prequel to the world of 1990s Vietnam will feature “spectacular choreographic and cinematic stunts that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.” furies it could be one of the best Asian movies we’ll see on Netflix in 2023.
We can confirm that furies will premiere on Netflix globally and exclusively in Tuesday, March 23, 2023.
The feature film will first premiere in the US at the South by Southwest Film Festival on March 12, 2023.

The Furies offer a thrilling tale of justice and revenge set in the vibrant setting of Saigon in the 1990s.
The film tells the story of Bi, Thanh and Hong, three fierce and furious vigilantes who come together to take down a sinister crime syndicate led by the vile crime lord Hai. As the trio of assassins infiltrate the underground crime syndicate to deliver furious justice, viewers will wonder if they have been manipulated into becoming instruments of revenge.
Veronica Ngo will return to reprise her role as Hai Phuong. Netflix subscribers who have seen the superhero action movie The Old Guard will recognize Ngo as Quynh. She has also starred in other Netflix movies like Bright, gives 5 bloods, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny.

Dong Anh Quynh had this to say about her role as Bi:
“Never in my life have I had to undergo so much physical training for a role. Mentally, I challenged myself to empathize with the anti-hero and mentally overwhelmed character that Bi is, to best bring him to life on screen.”
Toc Tien had the following to say about his relationship with his character Thanh;
“Thanh is the eldest, she always takes care of her ‘sisters’ even though they are not blood sisters. Thanh silently protects them, not with words but with actions. I find it easy to empathize with Thanh because many of the character’s personalities are quite similar to mine.”

Rima Thanh Vy plays the role of the “sweet and optimistic” Hong, and also had this to say about her experience with the character;
“Hong helped me get through a difficult time in my life. Hong gave me a lot of love and strength to keep going and lead a fuller life.”
