Agustín Canapino continues to make history for Argentine motorsports. This time he is going to participate, for the first time, in the Indianapolis 500. In the mythical race of the IndyCarthe vehicle #78 will have the colors of the Argentine National Team.
After an agreement between AFA and Juncos Holinger Racingof ricardo juncos, Canapino will change the green to have a design worthy of a world champion. “It is a pride and a great honor to represent the World Champions in the oldest and most important motorsport competition on the planet.. For me it is a dream fulfilled twice, to participate in the 500 Miles as well as to represent our team that brings so much joy to us Argentines,” the pilot published on his social networks.
And he added: “It will be my first time in this race and although our goal is to qualify and finish the race, we will do each of the laps with all the desire to finish in the best possible position. Many thanks to AFA and all of Juncos Hollinger Racing for allowing me to be living this great dream.”
Regarding this issue, Claudio Tapia also expressed himself: “The AFA is proud to support an Argentine driver in the emblematic Indianapolis 500 race. Today being able to unite two great passions such as football and motor racing in a foreign territory is a demonstration of teamwork.”
The race will be next Sunday, May 28, where Canapino will seek to make history.
