The weather forecast changed once more in the last few hours, so the rains could arrive earlier than expected in the AMBA area (Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area). Nevertheless, the heat continues in Buenos Aires and most of the country.
Despite the fact that the SMN (National Meteorological Service) had predicted that the rains would arrive on Saturday morning in the City of Buenos Aires and the Buenos Aires suburbs, everything seems to indicate that the storms will be brought forward to Friday, January 20 at night.

In this sense, for the Federal Capital, minimums of 25 degrees are expected with a maximum of 33 while in some regions of the AMBALike La Matanza, the expected minimum is 21 degrees for Friday with a similar maximum.
Throughout the Buenos Aires territory and the Buenos Aires suburbs, the rains will last until Saturday morning. January 21 will begin with a minimum of around 24 degreesbut the thermometer will rise again to 33 degrees once the rains end.
Some regions of the country are under an orange alert for heavy rains. In this sense, several areas of Río Negro, La Pampa, Neuquén and Mendoza can have an accumulated precipitation of 30 and 60 mmwith very intense gusts and even hail.

Regarding the north of the country, jump, Jujuy, Tucuman, Formosa, currents, Chaco and Misiones are under yellow alert with “extreme” heataccording to information from the SMN.
The north of Salta is the only region in this area of the country that is under orange alert, so caution is recommended due to the high temperature values that can be recorded.
On the other hand, the inhabitants of the areas that will suffer rainfall should avoid outdoor activities, not take out the garbage and remove objects that prevent the water from draining.
